Concept

Coordinating emergency personnel, optimally

inovex supports a range of social projects – including with what we do best: building software. Under the name “Coding for Charity”, we teamed up with the Karlsruhe city unit of the German Red Cross (DRK) to launch a project that helps coordinate emergency personnel at major events.

The result is MCP – short for Mission Control Paramedic: mission control for medical services, bringing operations, personnel and documentation together in one place.

Designing operations software

At major events in particular, organising and coordinating emergency personnel takes enormous effort. Action has to be fast, so that in an emergency the right people reach the scene as quickly as possible. That calls for a clear design language that can be grasped at a glance and stays understandable even in hectic situations. Together with the DRK’s Karlsruhe city unit, we created an interface that meets exactly this need.
